1:1 Leadership Coaching
Leadership doesn't come with a playbook.
Some leadership challenges can't be solved with another book, podcast, or LinkedIn post. Sometimes you need someone who can help you think.
Whether you're navigating a difficult conversation, leading through organizational change, stepping into a larger role, or simply wondering, "Am I handling this the right way?" leadership can feel surprisingly lonely.
You don't need someone to lead for you. You need someone who can help you think like the leader you already have the potential to become. Coaching is for leaders navigating real situations—not hypothetical ones.
Every coaching engagement starts with the work that's already on your calendar. The executive conversation you're avoiding. The employee who's struggling. The reorganization you didn't ask for. The promotion you're unsure you're ready for. The role that suddenly feels unclear.
Together, we'll slow the situation down, clarify what success looks like, organize your thinking, and develop a strategy that feels authentic to you. The goal isn't simply to solve today's problem. It's to build the judgment and communication skills you'll rely on for the rest of your career.
What we work on
Every leader's situation is different, but clients often come to coaching when they're navigating moments like these:
Leading through change: Your organization has changed. Your role has changed. Expectations have changed. You're trying to figure out how to move forward with confidence instead of constantly reacting.
Communicating through complexity: Whether you're giving difficult feedback, managing conflict, advocating for yourself, or presenting to senior leaders, we'll build messages that create clarity and move conversations forward.
Managing up and influencing executives: Learn how to communicate with business acumen, navigate competing priorities, and influence stakeholders without relying on authority.
Leading people: Develop stronger frameworks for accountability, delegation, performance conversations, coaching, and building trust with your team.
Career transitions: Whether you're preparing for a promotion, deciding whether to stay or leave, or stepping into a completely new environment, coaching provides a space to think strategically before you act.
My coaching philosophy
I won't hand you scripts. I won't tell you exactly what to say. And I definitely won't ask you to become someone you're not. Instead, I'll help you understand what's really happening beneath the surface, organize your thinking, and communicate with greater intention. Because the goal isn't to get through one difficult conversation. It's to become the kind of leader who knows how to navigate the next one, too.
What a coaching session looks like
Every session centers around a real leadership challenge you're facing. Before we meet, you'll share the situation, the outcome you're hoping for, and where you're feeling stuck.
Together, we'll unpack the challenge, identify what's actually driving the situation, and build a strategy you can immediately put into practice. Depending on what you're working through, we'll often draft key talking points, prepare for questions or pushback, and clarify the message you want to communicate.
Afterward, you'll leave with clear next steps—not just more ideas to think about. 0Many clients choose to send me a follow-up after they've had the conversation so we can reflect on what worked, what they'd do differently, and continue building the skill.

Is coaching right for you?
Coaching is a great fit if you're looking for personalized support with real leadership situations.
You don't want generic leadership advice.
.You want a trusted thought partner who can help you think more clearly, communicate more effectively, and navigate situations that don't have obvious answers.
If you're looking for a structured curriculum and the opportunity to learn alongside a small group of leaders, Leadership School is likely the better fit.
Why clients work with me
For more than a decade, I built and led multimillion-dollar businesses at Deloitte, advised Fortune 500 executives, and coached leaders through some of the most complex organizational challenges they'll ever face. Today, I bring that same experience into every coaching conversation. Not because I have all the answers. Because I've learned the questions that help leaders find their own.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
"When I started coaching with Colleen, I was at my wit's end. I was in the middle of one of the most sustained periods of stress I'd experienced in nearly twenty years. I questioned whether I was cut out for leadership, felt like I was constantly defending myself, and couldn't stop thinking about work. I wasn't looking for someone to tell me to 'communicate better.' I needed someone who could help me make sense of incredibly complicated team dynamics, navigate sustained resistance, and lead without losing myself in the process."
That's exactly what coaching is for. Not because someone else has all the answers. Because sometimes leadership is too complex to navigate alone. Together, we'll slow the situation down, make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, and build a strategy that feels authentic to you.
The goal isn't just to solve today's problem.
It's to change the way you lead tomorrow.
"Somewhere along the way I stopped operating in survival mode. I started sleeping better, enjoying my life again, focusing on the work instead of the conflict, and actually became excited about the next chapter of my career. What makes Colleen different is that she doesn't just solve the problem in front of you; she sees who you're capable of becoming before you do. Every conversation left me calmer, stronger, and more capable than when I walked in."
